eBay Marketplace

Add eBay Marketplace #

At first, make sure that you have signed out of your eBay account and that your account is active.
To add a new eBay channel, you have to enter your account nickname in the text-field.

Your marketplace domain is set automatically.

Next, tick the checkbox that the SellerSkills primary warehouse will be main and added to the marketplace after successful connection of the eBay channel.
To continue click [Save].

Afterward, check your email or username in the “Email or username” field and enter the password in the “Password” space to sign in to your eBay account.

If your device is secure, and you want to stay signed in to your eBay account, tick the checkbox.
Not to stay signed in your eBay account, do not tick the checkbox. Do it to protect your account when you use a public or shared device.

Click [Sign In] to proceed.
* Also, you may sign in with Facebook or Google.
Then you are redirected to the “Grant Application Access: SellerSkills” page.

* If you click “act on your behalf”, you can check the permissions you grant to the SellerSkills application.

** Also, you can look through “Privacy Policy” by clicking “Privacy Policy”.

To complete the process, click [I agree].

*** If you click [Go back to SellerSkills], you return to the eBay integration page, and if you click [Go to home page], you go to eBay home page.
If the process is successful, you get a notification.
At eBay integration page you can change account details, preferences, payment, shipping, and return.

Account Tab #

In the “Account” tab, you can edit only the account nickname without re-login. Having changed any other information, you have to re-login.
Put the cursor in the “Account Nickname” field, enter a new nickname, and confirm the change by clicking the [Check mark] icon or [X mark] to cancel.

Note!
  1. You can’t change the marketplace domain as it is set automatically at the stage of adding the marketplace channel.
  2. Also, you are not able to make the SellerSkills primary warehouse a secondary one.

Click [Save] to confirm changes.
If the change is successful, you get a notification and return to the connected sales channels list.

Preferences Tab #

In the “Preferences” tab, you can specify “Inventory Withdrawal”.
To set minimum and maximum of the inventory withdrawal, tick the “Inventory Withdrawal” box and enter minimal and maximal quantities in the appropriate fields.
Due to this option, you can sell the needed quantity of the items in your marketplace and not worry about the lack of inventory.
*Minimal quantity can not be greater than the maximal quantity.
**Maximal quantity can be up to 999999999 units.

Having specified the inventory withdrawal limits, save changes by clicking [Save] at the bottom of the page.
Also, you can unlink your eBay channel listings from the SellerSkills inventory by clicking [Unlink All Listings].

Payment Tab #

In the “Payment” tab, you can add new, delete or edit the existing payment policy.

Create a Payment Policy #

To add a new payment policy, click the [New Policy] button at the bottom of the page.
On the “eBay Payment” page you can specify general payment policy information:
  1. Payment policy name*;
  2. Description;
  3. Set a default payment policy.

  4. PayPal;
  5. Merchant credit cards;
  6. Other payment methods.

Specify the payment policy name in the “Payment Policy Name”* text-field. This field is required to be filled in.

You can put a short payment policy description in the “Description” field. Description must be at least 1 characters long and not more than 250 characters.

Also, you can set the payment policy as default by ticking the appropriate checkbox. The default payment policy will be selected for listings in the cases when you don’t specify any other payment policy.
The first created policy is set as default, but you can change it, setting the other one as default.
You can’t delete the default payment policy, but you can set other policy as default and delete it after.

If you check PayPal for your payment policy, you have to specify the following information:
  • You can enter the PayPal email address in the corresponding text-field.

  • In the “Payment Description” field you may fill in the description. It must be at least 1 character long and not more than 1000 characters.
  • When you require immediate payment, the first person who selects Buy It Now and completes the PayPal transaction gets the item.

You may apply the payment policy with the immediate payment for eBay listings with:
  1. a Buy It Now price of no more than $60,000;
  2. stated shipping and handling costs or free delivery for the item;
  3. specified all costs, including taxes, so your buyer knows the exact amount to spend.

Note!
If you tick “Require Immediate Payment”, you will not be able to use merchant credit cards or other payment methods.

Use the “Merchant Credit Cards” option only if you have a pre-existing merchant credit card account. The buyer must contact you during checkout to complete the credit card payment offline.

In this section you may tick as many options as you need or none of them.
  • Also, you can choose next payment methods:
  • a) money order / cashier check;
    b) pay on pickup;
    c) personal check;
    d) escrow.

In this section you may tick as many methods as you need or none of them.
Having specified all details, click [Save] to add a new payment policy.
Click [Back] not to save a new policy.
If adding a new payment policy is successful, you get a notification.

Shipping Tab #

In the “Shipping” tab you can create, delete or edit the existing shipping policy.


Add a New Shipping Policy #

To create a new shipping policy, click the [New Policy] button.
On the “eBay Shipping” page you have to specify the following information:
  1. Shipping policy name*;
  2. Description;
  3. Default shipping policy;
  4. U.S. shipping*;
  5. Shipping services;
  6. Free shipping;
  7. Handling time;
  8. Handling cost;
  9. Exclude shipping locations.

Enter a new shipping policy name in the “Shipping Policy Name”* field. Then you may add shipping policy description. It must be at least 1 characters long and not more than 250 characters.
To set the shipping policy as default, tick the appropriate checkbox. Default shipping policy will be selected for listings in the cases when you don’t specify any other shipping policy.

Next you have to specify US shipping(*). Click the [Dropdown] icon and choose US shipping from the dropdown list.

Note!
When “Freight” is US shipping, you have to specify your own freight shipping options in your item description.
When “No shipping” is US shipping, item is available for local pick up only.
When “Flat” is US shipping, you have to fill in two additional fields: [Cost] and [Each Additional]. Specify these values in USD.

To pick a shipping service, click the [Dropdown] icon and choose from the list.
Note!
You can pick shipping services only when “Calculated” or “Flat” is chosen US shipping.

Also, you can add more shipping services clicking “Offer additional service” and choose shipping service as told above.

To delete additional shipping service, click [Remove service].
Tick [Free shipping] to make shipping free for your buyers. In this case, insurance, package, and handling charges will not be applicable.
Note!
You are not able to pick “Free shipping” option when “Freight” or “No shipping” is set as US shipping.
To specify handling time, click the [Dropdown] icon and choose from the list.

You can choose handling time only for “Calculated” and “Flat” US shipping.
Next, you can specify a handling cost, but only for “Calculated” US shipping. Set this value in USD.

To set the excluded shipping locations, tick the required check-boxes:
  1. Alaska / Hawaii;
  2. APO / FPO;
  3. US Protectorates;
  4. PO Box.

You may tick few locations, all or none of them.
Having specified details, click [Save] to add a new shipping policy or [Back] to cancel.
If the process is successful, you get a notification.

Return Tab #

In the “Return” tab you can create, edit, or delete return policies.

Create a Return Policy #

To add a new policy click [New Policy].

On the eBay return page you have to specify the following information:
  1. Return policy name*;
  2. Description;
  3. Default return policy;
  4. Return;
  5. Instruction;
  6. Return period;
  7. Return shipping cost payer;
  8. Replacement.

Firstly, enter the name of the new policy in the “Return Policy Name”* field.
You can write some description in the “Description” field. It must be at least 1 characters long and not more than 250 characters.
To set the return policy as default, tick the appropriate checkbox. Default return policy will be selected for listings in the cases when you don’t specify any other return policy.
The first created policy is set as default, but you can change it, setting the other one as default.
You can’t delete the default return policy, but you can set other policy as default and delete it after.

If you tick “Returns Accepted”, you confirm that returns are accepted. (Leaving it unchecked, means that you don’t accept returns.)

If you have left “Returns Accepted” unchecked, you have to fill in only “Instruction” field. Return policy instruction must be at least 1 characters long and not more than 1000 characters.

Having ticked “Returns Accepted”, you have specify next information.
Firstly, you have to set the period of returns. Click the [Dropdown] icon in the “Returns Period” box and choose the required time period.

Next, click the [Dropdown] icon and choose return shipping cost payer from the list.

Also, you may choose “Replacement Available” or leave it unchecked.

Having specified information, click [Save] to add new return policy.
Or choose [Back] to abolish the process.
If a new policy is successfully created, you get a notification.

Edit a Policy #

To edit the existing payment policy, click the [Edit] icon in the line with the chosen payment policy.

After that, you are able to edit all necessary information on the “eBay Payment” page and click [Save] to confirm changes.
To cancel changes, click [Back] at the bottom or in the left corner of the page.
If editing is successful, you get a notification.

Delete a Policy #

To delete a policy, click the [Delete] icon in the line of the chosen policy.
Afterward, you have to confirm deleting or abolish it. If deleting is successful, you get a notification.
Note!
The only policy you can’t delete is the default one. But you can set other policy as default and delete it after.
